We Are Pilots

Shiny Toy Guns - We Are Pilots
Well, lets kick off the new year with a post on a band that released their CD, We Are Pilots, back in October of 2006 (version 3). The Shiny Toy Guns CD combines electric, rock, and pop music into a great new sound. Some songs to check out would be Chemistry of a Car Crash, Chemistry of a Car Crash (iTunes free single of the week), and Starts With One. I think it is a good CD to listen too, right now it is in my main mix on my computer.

If you are hesitant in buying their album (by the way it's only $7.00!), the single Le Disko is the free single of the week on iTunes. Click on the banner on the left to go directly to the download in iTunes. Also if you are interested, they are currently on tour in the U.S.

Fort Minor...Bringing Hip-Hop Back

If you haven't checked out the new group by Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda, you are missing out on one of the best hip hop albums of the year. The group is called Fort Minor, and the album is The Rising Tied. No shoot 'em up, gangsta music here...just great beats and lyrics. Notable selections: Where'd You Go, Feel Like Home, Believe Me. Let me know what you think of the album by leaving a comment.

Remeber, all links will open up the iTunes music store.

John ButlerTrio

Time to check out another great band, John Butler Trio. In particular their Sunrise Over the Sea CD. This is one of those cd's that you can listen to from start to finish. Each song has its own sound, and each one is great. Some notable track mentions: What You Want, Seeing Angels, Betterman, and Zebra.

So what are you waiting for...click on the banner below to listen to the CD! (banner opens iTunes)

iPod Video with Video

iPod with VideoIt finally happened! Apple released an iPod with the capability to play video. And along with their new iPod, they have released a new iTunes with the ability to download videos, and TV shows....what a coincidence! I haven't had the chance to see one up close, but the "time to upgrade" to a new iPod has shortened dramatically ;). We'll have to wait and see if they offer more options of video to download...mainly movies. Currently you can download over 2,000 music videos, a couple TV shows (Lost is probably the best one they have to offer), and a few short films by the Apple owned Pixar studios (makers of Toy Story, etc.). The great thing about the TV shows is their availability shortly after being aired on TV...now there is no excuse that you "missed" a show! What are you waiting for..check 'em out. And if you're feeling generous, you can send me one!

I'm Back!!

Ok, so I figured since last time I posted twice, I could take a break. Well, now I am back. This time, I wanted to promote a band named Trapt. If you haven't heard of them, you should really check them out. Click Trapt Logo (all links open iTunes Music Store) to check them out on iTunes (or click on the banner below). Their newest album came out at the beginning of last month. They have a "heavy" rock sound, but they have a singer that can actually sing! He doesn't resort to screaming for any lack of singing ability! ;) I really think you should check them out. Feel free to leave comments about what you think of them.

More updates coming soon....

2 Posts in 1 Day!

This is a quick post. If you don't already have it, I recommend getting the new Coldplay album, X & Y. It is the best album so far this year, and has great potential to win the Grammy for Album of the Year! Click on the banner below to take a listen to the album by the greatest band in the world! If you like it, check out some of their older stuff.

Finally...an update!

Well, if anybody has noticed...some how I doubt it...but it has been awhile since I have made any updates. I don't have any excuses this time. I was lazy!

I thought I would pass along this video of a new Apple iPod, the iPod Flea! I might have to pick up a few...the accessories are great! If you have QuickTime, click here to see the video. If you have windows media, click here. I couldn't find a commercial free version, so this will have to suffice for now.

I still can't live with out my iPod...it is the greatest gadget! Don't forget, you can find the top iTunes albums and songs in the music section of this site. If you click on one of the links, it will automatically take you to the iTunes music store.

Until next time...

Artistic Paint Productions Redux

As you can see I have been very busy. I recently completely redesigned artisticpaintproductions.com. The website is completely designed without using tables...ok, so the form page isn't, but everything else is. Please check it out, and let me know of anything that "doesn't look right" or isn't working. Also let me know if the pages load slowly. The website has been optimized for Mozilla FireFox, and Internet Explorer.

My favorite "new" feature is the random banner at the top of every page. It's new every time you visit! So I guess you should keep coming back...you wouldn't want to miss one! :)

I have a couple more tricks up my sleeve for the site to make it cooler, but I am not ready to talk about those yet....now if I can only have some time to work on my site!

Well, the work is finally finished. I have created a site for a wedding videographer. The company's name is Zoom AZ, and their website is zoomazvideo.com. Please take sometime to visit the site, and leave me some feedback on what you think. (To leave feedback, click on the comments link below this text, then fill in the small form and your done!). I have another "announcement" in the next week or two, so stay tuned....
